Dear friends of Serres - La Batie Montsaléon aerodrome!
As of 30 June 2025, the administration has changed the status of the aerodrome, which alters the terms of its use.
The aerodrome no longer has the status of an approved aerodrome for restricted use and has regained its initial status as a private aerodrome. This makes it easier to organise.
From now on, every glider, light aircraft or microlight pilot is considered a guest of the owner and must be registered on the legal list, along with their aircraft, via this website.
This guest list is made available to the aviation authorities and law enforcement agencies.
In practice:
• Every pilot and every aircraft must be registered on this list.
• Following registration on this website, authorisation will be sent by email to the applicant, who is responsible for printing it and keeping it with their pilot documents so that it can be presented to the manager or the authorities (e.g. Air Transport Police) if necessary.
• The driver is responsible for preventing collisions between their vehicle and aircraft.
• Aircraft always have priority over anyone travelling by vehicle or on foot. Drivers must ensure that there are no aircraft present before entering the runway.
• In accordance with regulations, the aerodrome owner keeps lists of persons and aircraft that have obtained authorisation for use.
• The owner/manager reserves the right to suspend authorisations in the event of a breach of the rules. Unidentified persons and vehicles will not be allowed to enter the runway.
• As the holder of a permit, you may bring other persons to the aerodrome, but you are responsible for those accompanying you. Children under the age of 14 are only allowed on the aerodrome if accompanied by an authorised and responsible person. Dogs are not allowed on the runway or in the glider and aeroplane parking areas, and must be kept on a leash elsewhere.
• The aerodrome is divided into a manoeuvring area (runway), a traffic area (car parks, taxiways) and a "town side" area, such as the campsite or restaurant. Due to the lack of physical separation, restaurant customers and campsite occupants must take particular care.
• Please note that parking glider and microlight trailers is strictly prohibited on the aerodrome unless their owner is present.
Thank you for your understanding.
